Dutch Belgian Drosophila Meeting, postponed
Dutch Belgian Drosophila Meeting, postponed
General context
Due to Coronavirus spreading in Belgium and Europe, VIB has made the difficult decision to postpone the Dutch-Belgian Drosophila Meeting until 27 April 2021. We will contact you in due time to register for the event next year.
After the successful 2019 edition at the Donders Institute of Nijmegen, VIB is hosting the 10th Dutch-Belgian Drosophila meeting in Leuven. Meet all Dutch and Belgian Drosophila groups incl. PIs, and learn about various topics, from cell biology, immunity & physiology, single cell sequencing, neurobiology & behavior, to human disease modelling. The keynote lecture on neural information processing at the level of individual neurons and small neural circuits will be given by Alexander Borst from Max-Planck-Institute of Neurobiology, Germany. The perfect opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange! Participants from other countries are also very welcome to attend!
This training targets scientists who want to keep up-to-date with the latest evolutions in the Drosophila field. The training is aimed at PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, technicians or other scientists with a molecular biology background.
Patrick Callaerts (Laboratory of Behavioral and Developmental Genetics, KU Leuven)
Georg Halder (VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology)
Albena Jordanova (VIB-UAntwerp Center for Molecular Neurology)
Roman Praschberger (VIB-KU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research)
Patrik Verstreken (VIB-KU Leuven Center for Brain & Disease Research)
- Participation is free for academics and researchers from research institutes.
- Note that upon no-show without valid justification you will be blacklisted for the VIB training program for 1 year and for VIB participants the reimbursement of the catering costs (€ 50) will be charged to the research group. Click here for more information.
