Target Audience:

Location:

Duration:

20 February 2026, 10h - 15h

General context

Conflict is inevitable in any workplace — especially in diverse, collaborative environments. But when managed well, conflict can drive innovation, strengthen relationships, and build a culture of inclusion.

This interactive workshop helps participants understand the dynamics of workplace conflict and equips them with tools to respond constructively. They will deepen their self-awareness of communication and conflict styles, practice strategies for constructive dialogue and mediation, and learn how to foster psychologically safe and inclusive environments.

By the end of the training, participants are equipped not only to handle everyday conflicts more effectively, but also to contribute to a more positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish between constructive and destructive conflict.
  • Recognize how diversity, emotions, and power dynamics influence workplace interactions.
  • Identify their own conflict response styles and how they are perceived by others.
  • Apply effective strategies for constructive dialogue, collaboration, and mediation.
  • Use practical tools for building socially and intellectually safe environments that encourage open communication and inclusion.
Event intended for

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Researchers and staff of all levels navigating collaborative, multicultural teams.
  • Team leaders, managers, and principal investigators seeking to build inclusive, respectful environments.
  • Anyone who wants to improve their communication skills and build confidence in addressing challenging situations.
