General context

VIB Training & Conferences is committed to fostering a strong culture of lifelong learning within VIB. A key element in achieving this goal is building a vibrant community of internal trainers who share their knowledge, expertise, and experience. Supporting and recognizing this community is essential to strengthening lifelong learning across the organization.

Over the past year, we have launched several initiatives to facilitate knowledge exchange and interaction among trainers, including train-the-trainer workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities. We have also continued to acknowledge the valuable contributions of our trainers through training and conference vouchers and by increasing their online visibility through the Trainer community.

Building on the success of last year's gathering, VIB Training & Conferences is delighted to organize the second Trainer Community Event.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of learning, networking, and celebration as we continue to grow and strengthen our trainer community together.

FAIRness in Training: Mini Hackathon
-

It is time to take action. Bring your own training materials and, with support from our expert trainers, work to improve FAIRness. Choose a license — open or more closed — that matches the level of openness you find appropriate. Increase the visibility and recognition of your work by assigning a DOI with our Zenodo community. You can also consult the Training & Conferences template for materials hosted on GitHub. These are just some of the possible activities—over the course of this two-hour hackathon, and with our guidance, the session can be highly productive and foster a rich exchange of ideas.
