Objectives

The aim of the individual career counselling sessions is to support VIB employees with urgent career questions.

Approach

The Career Counselling sessions take 90 minutes and will give you the opportunity to help you with:

  • Extra support for preparing an application
  • Practising a job interview
  • Motivational questions 
  • Discussing a career opportunity
  • Work life balance
  • Dealing with stress
  • Preparing for a performance review with your group leader
  • Etcetera.

Sessions can be booked on 25 August, 29 September, 27 October, 24 November or 15 December

Event intended for

Everybody working at VIB with urgent career questions.

Extra information
  • A booking can be cancelled until 24 hours before the actual career counselling takes place. Otherwise it will be considered as actual career counselling hours.
  • The career counselling will take place at VIB offices in Leuven or via Teams or zoom, dependent on you own preference and the number of participants. Participants will be informed consequently.
  • The career counselling sessions are also organised in Ghent, Brussels and Antwerp

Trainers

Lucia Smit

Dr. Lucia Smit is founder of Braingain, organizational sociologist and certified professional co-active coach (CPCC). Lucia started her career as a management consultant of companies and governments. She then studied the careers of scientists as a member of an OECD working group. Since 2007 Lucia guides professionals in translating their ambitions to the needs of their work environment and the labor market. Increasing self-knowledge is the starting point.
